iPhone calls using TomTom cradle

When making a call using an IPhone through the TomTom iPhone cradle and I select the call to go through the TomTom cradle the call does net get played through the speakers of the car but rather through the tinny cradle speaker. Is there any way the call can go through the car speaker. If I play music that works fine.
