Installing New Map Versions on 910???

What is the correct way to install a new map version?
I assume you back-up first (no brainer there)
Do you then delete the current map and install or does the new map version overwrite the older version?

The old map is not deleted or overwritten when a new map is installed. It's actually a neat feature. You will have to manually select the new map though since the device doesn't automatically switch to the newly installed map. What I don't like is that the new map has exactly the same name as the previous one. By default, the current or old map is highlighted. You will also have to copy your Favorites from the old map to the new one - the file is called Mapsettings.cfg.

I don't delete the old map immediately after installing a new map just in case there are some major errors in the new map.
