I have asked TomTom support this question, after one reply apologising for not answering the question ... they say they will get back to me .....(when???) Help please Forumites

Quesstion was/ is:
I have just upgraded to Tomtom XL30. I see on the cig.lighter plug 12/24v....

I have been converting 24v to 12v for a couple of years to run my Tomtom One.

Question .1...can I just plug into a 24v dc cig lighter socket.

Question .2. Is the Tomtom one lead the same as Tomtom XL30

No replies ,... perhaps I should have just asked:....................

Tom Tom cig lighter plug is marked 24v/12v does this mean that it can be used in either voltage socket safely.

Yes you can use the charger fitted in 12 or 24V sockets and it will be fine - Mike

. Now I can dispense with the 24v to 12v converter which sticks out too much and gets knocked whenn I change gears.
