In-dash Navigation Devices specifically Peugeot 3008

It is the Peugeot dealer who decides whether Tomtom should add the Israel map as an update.

The client is Peugeot, so if the dealer does not ask Tomtom to add the map of Israel, Tomtom will not do it.
For information, the map of Israel is only available on the world map.

I suppose you only have a map of Europe?

The dealership here says that it is Tomtom, and as of yet they don't have maps of many countries in our area.
Since you have the 3008, I am assuming you have this system (the "3D" version)?

Updates are performed through the link on this page

What do you see offered there? Without a valid VIN, we can't look there with you to see what choices are available.

TomTom maps of Israel definitely exist. When needed, I've had one loaded on my GO 620 device several times.
Peugeot obtains/pays for maps for whatever parts of the world it wishes to offer to its customers.

You are correct. I downloaded Tom Tom to my Android and all works. I have ordered a new 2025 3008 gt which will arrive in February. When I was in the Peugeot dealership I attached my phone's wifi android auto and the Tom Tom map was dark for all of our area Tukey and east and south of. I will have to wait to receive the car to get the Vin.
It would also be nice if not only Tom Tom Waze could work on the centre screen.

I now have the VIN VR3KAHPY4RS150404 . I understand that there is no connection to the fact that TomTom works on my Android It has to be installed on the I copilot screen by Peugeot. Is this correct?

As it is written:
You must download the MYPEUGEOT application on your phone
If an update is available for your navigation map or your touch screen software, you will see a notification.

I'm afraid I'm being a bit confused by your original question of onboard (vehicle system) mapping and your use of the TomTom phone nav app being projected to your vehicle using Android Auto. While an interesting experiment, I don't yet see how it addresses your original concern over availability of onboard (not phone app) maps.

Your new vehicle shouldn't require any TomTom app to be running on your phone, just that your phone should provide WiFi hotspot service while you are driving so that your vehicle has a data source for traffic.

Entering the VR3KAHPY4RS150404 VIN confirms what I thought. The instructions that follow that on their site says "Additional map updates (new countries, download of entire countries,…) as well as the software updates can be performed by connecting your car to a secured Wi-Fi."

You may, of course, use either your home WiFi or phone hotspot service to connect your vehicle to the internet to perform those functions.

Now everything is clear Thank you.
I now understand that when I physically get the car on the MYPEUGEOT app Additional map updates (new countries...
I can download the map of Israel I presume that is in the list of available countries.

Ok So now I collected my car yesterday There is a different VIN I now have the VIN VR3KAHPY0RS144633
my car is connected with Android Auto and it has done some updates automatically. But there is no map from Peugeot I can use Google Maps or Waze but it doesn't come over to the main screen. Is there an intention to put maps of Israel onto the car's computer?

In my opinion, the client is Peugeot, so if Peugeot does not ask Tomtom to add the map of Israel, Tomtom will not add it.

Normally, if you open Google Maps on Android auto, you should have the map of Israel?

No problem with the maps Tomtom also has Israel and East of Turkey but not on the version in the Peugeot system they only use TomTom on their main screen. With Android Auto or Apple Carplay, you can use what you want but can't see it on the main console/screen.

Tomtom provides maps to Peugeot for its 3008 model
Peugeot did not ask Tomtom to make the maps of Israel available on its 3008 model.

You should ask the dealer how one may obtain additional map areas for the head unit in your 308 car. If they don't know, ask them to either contact Peugeot corporate to find out, or give you a contact there so that you may make your own inquiries.
