Imac and Tomtom Via 120 Live compatibility query.

Thinking of getting a newer satnav and the Tomtom Via 120 LIVE seems to fit the bill for what I require, so far so good !
BUT
I keep reading that the downloads/updates software of Tomtom still has issues of compatibility with the iMac system (ours is iMac 10.5.8 with Intel core 2 duo processor but might soon update to latest MountainLionOS). Is this correct and what is the current situation ? I don't want to spend my money on a problem !

Others may provide better information but the only thing I know is what is posted in this thread on TomTom's own user forum pertaining to Home 2 and not the MyTomTom.

You should have no problems, as the Via120 has no unwanted hair....
