i have 330s xl. it's new, not working and now I'm confused.

I tried to do updates and then it froze on the start screen. It connects so I followed some directions and deleted everything off the TomTom including maps.

Windows keeps popping up asking to scan and fix.

Now I have no maps and I do'nt know how to download them for free.

Help?

Did you make an Explorer backup? If so, do allow Windows to scan and fix the unit's storage. Then format, not quickformat.

Restore the Explorer backup. See if that helps.

(You may have disconnected the unit from the computer too soon. Before it had time to finish writing data to the storage)
