TomTom Model(s)
Model #4EN52 Z1230
I have a new TomTom
Model #4EN52 Z1230
The new hwys are not showing up on my map.
Hwy 407 until recently ended at Brock Road in Pickering
It has now been extended to Harmony Road in Oshawa

As well there is a new Hwy 412 that goes from Ajax on the 401 to connect with the 407 extension
Neither of these show up on my new GPS

The is in Ontario

When will these updates be available.

My TomTom shows that the updates are current.

Not sure what a #4EN52Z1230 is. That's a part number instead of a model number. I THINK it's a Via 1500, which while new to you, is rather old in the grand scheme of things.
A unit that old will, of course, also have old maps (unless it's used, and the previous owner updated it). Have you downloaded and installed My Drive Connect yet, and updated the map to the current level?

What version map is on it now? My Drive Connect will tell you, or you can check manually:
Settings / left arrow / Me and my device / About my device
Current map for USA_Canada_and_Mexico is v970. Where are you?

That new extension of the 407 was done in May (free use for the month of June) so there would be no way it was already included in the 970 map release which, in fact, was relying upon map data from about six months earlier in order to be compiled. In fact, TomTom is working on a new process whereby map alterations would get shown much faster. See here for further information:

You can also report these map changes at tomtom.com/mapshare/tools but the implementation will still take some time......

The 407 and 412 simultaneously have been opened to the public 2 weeks ago.
407 between Brock Rd. Pickering and Harmony Rd, Oshawa, and
412 between 401 and 407.

Use of the toll road is free until December 31,2016 at which time they expect to open section between Harmony and the 418 at about Rundle Rd, Clarington.
(Google Earth does not show any preliminary grading along the route.)

TomTom maps only seem to take completed roads into consideration and it usually takes 3 quarterly updates before they appear.

As part of the 401 interchange there is an onramp from Lakeridge SB to 401 WB. I have taken it 2 weeks ago but it does not show on Google maps.

Not sure why it should take so long to update maps with new routes. It's not like the the 412 and 407 extension popped up out of nowhere overnight. One would think they would have the update ready to go shortly the new sections were accessible
Google Maps had it updated after both was open to the public.

Certainly can't have been any faster than they did it, given quarterly updates! Actually, a good job by TT on this one.

Yes, this one is very good.
Yet, after 4 months last year and since March this year they, like Google, insist that a left turn can be made from 401 EB to Brock Rd NB through the temporary concrete barrier.
If they keep on sitingt on their hands and the weather holds they will be right, come December.
