How to stop navigating

I go received my TomTom GO 510. Seem to be getting it all set up correctly. But I have one really dumb question.

If I have told it to Navigate to a destination, and decide not to go there, how do I stop it from continually telling me to u-turn, or turn or what ever. I know this seems stupid, but I can't figure it out.

Go to Change Preferences>Show more options.

Now on the Main Menu, go to the third page and you will see an option to clear route.
