how to install application on SD card on tomtom 920

i'm trying to install something on my SD card but it's not working.

1) MobilNova Media center - when choosing to install to SD card it keeps telling me to insert a blank SD card even though I have 2g sandisc in it

2) Tripmaster using Tomtom Home2 - after choosing to install to SD card and visually it does install...

in both cases there are some files after atempt on the SD card. 1) just empty directories in 2) the full application appears to be there.

after 1) or 2) i can't locate the applications in my tomtom

Tomtom can read the card, when I put mp3s on it it can read.

any advice ??

On the 920, are you able to utilize the internal and external memory at the same time? Reason why I ask is because had a heck of a time getting MobliNova to work, until I realized that on my XL-S, the SD card is considered INTERNAL - not SDCard because once you put an SD card in the unit, you can no longer see the internal HD.
So when you are chosing to install choose internal, not SD card.

yes.

when i put the sd in, i can read and write to it thru the tomtom unit.

...and i can see the tomtom storage as well
