How long will it hold charge

Hi,

Leaving for a long tirp of about 12 hours. My Tomtom XL battery has almost given up, but it does charge and hold charge after 30 minutes of charging in the car. I know the initial route well enough to be able to manage without the GPS for the first 1-2 hours. Do you think that once it is fully charged and plugged into the car charger continously, it is going to hold its charge for the rest of the journey. Thanks in advance

Once it's plugged into your car charger adapter, you shouldn't have to worry about it. Unless the battery is completely toast and keeping you from turning the unit on, it should run just fine indefinitely off external power.

Get a new battery for the XL as its one of the easiest batteries to change, remove the four torx screws from the back of the case and the rest is easy/ obvious as the battery is in the rear case - Mike
