I bought a docking station for TomTom One V3, from the UK (EBAY). Came with no instructions. I checked the manual and can't find anything about using a docking station. Claims you can dowload music and pictures and use the unit as a digital picture frame. Can anyone help?

After-market docking stations not widely promoted in N. America

TomTom does not sell a docking station for the One, and there doesn't seem to be much 3rd-party marketing for such a device in North America. I'm just guessing that all your station provides is a connectivity point on a pedestal. Any additional functionality would have to come from an external application that manipulates the One's operating system to do things that it was not designed to do.

Other than MobilNova, I can't think of any applications that enable the One to download and play pictures and audio. For sure, the v3 TomTom would have to be connected to the station (and to a computer) to be able to provide that kind of content. There simply isn't enough discretionary storage space available internally on your TomTom for stand-alone multimedia functions.
