How do new restaurants get posted?

I know that I can not post a new restaurant to the existing POI category, Restaurant; I must add it to my Favorite.

I noticed that a new, unique, restaurant in town showed up on my TomTom within two months of opening. Now another new restaurant has opened that also is especially good. I'd like to have it show up on the official list; it now only shows up on my Favorite list.

So how does the TomTom master list get changed?

Third party companies provide the poi data for the built in stuff in each country. That said, there is also this link for businesses:

If you go to their online map correction site, you can add new POI data as well as correct road issues. Historically, it's taken 9 months for additions to find their way to the newer maps, but it's getting better. Eventually, they should show up in an update for your TM's map!

You can use the same email and PW that you do for your unit.
