How do I turn off Autozoom on an EASE

Same as above. If I am driving along I-55 which parallells the mississippi river as close as 5 miles, I would like to see my position as I relate to it, but it keeps zooming back in by itself. Is there a way to turn off autozoom?

The EASE is one of the models where AutoZoom can't be defeated. Sorry.
