Hola from Mexico

I live in Mexico now, originally from Ontario Canada.

New VIA 1605 M bought from Fry's in Houston. I understand this is a discontinued model.

Anything I should know? Just learning how to use it.

Download the manual at http://download.tomtom.com/open/manuals/start_60/manual.htm , about one page down.
That is for a TM model, T for traffic. Just ignore that part.

You must register your model with Customer Service to activate your Lifetime maps.
If you miss the time slot you will not get free updates.
Don't play Scarlet O'Hara "Tomorrow is another day".

This is a peer to peer group, not connected with TomTom and we have been somewhat lucky solving most problems that were posted here.
That said, if you have a question, make a brief search in case someone else went through it before. Don't spend too much time on it and ask here ore start a new thread.

Thanks for the information. Have registered and downloaded latest maps. Drove down from Texas to our Mexico address using the new TOMTOM. Getting used to it but cannot stand the flashing blue dot...marker I guess it is called. Any way to delete it?

I don't know about a flashing blue dot.
