Help trying to get Traffic on my Tomtom

I have bought Tomtom traffic, but when I follow the instructions

Please follow the below steps to activate your new Traffic subscription:

1. Switch on your device
2. Tap on map to enter the Main Menu
3. Tap on Change preferences
4. Tap on My TomTom account
5. Login with your TomTom account
6. Follow the instructions

Congratulations! Your new Traffic subscription has been activated.

At step 6 I do not get any instructions....Why ?

After step 6 it should say "congratulations your promo has been activated".

Is that what is says? If not, go to Tomtom Services in the main menu, and tap "my services". Is traffic listed?
