Help! Tomtomn Go530 died suddenly!

Connect to the computer. Make an Explorer backup, not Home. Reformat the unit. Don't use quickformat. Restore your backup.

If you still don't see anything on the screen, may be a hardware failure and time to bin it as you Brits say.

Thank you for the welcome.
I have reset the unit several times, and held down the on/off button for longer than usual, in case that helped!

No joy.

I have had some luck pressing the power button 3 times in rapped succession just before the unit boots up.
