Hard Wired On Off Question

I just bought a 5 inch unit and it has been hard wired into the car to avoid the plugs. It has the 5W converter in line. Is there a way for it to turn on and off with the ignition? It will turn off, but not on? Is there a setting I am missing?

There may be an application update to allow that functionality.

Although auto-on isn't around for your model (yet), auto-off should be. Check to see if your model includes a Setting for "Battery saving". Then "Next". Then look for "Device stays on when external power is lost" and uncheck that box.

Will be exchanging all three of them that I bought (and wired into all three cars) in for Garmin. If any one is reading this and looking at GPS, I love Tom Tom but this simple feature is a deal breaker.

But some newer models (2535, eg.) do have the auto-on/auto-off.
