had no gps signal at all for the last two days

i have a tomtom 25 i had a big journey to do yesterday so i connected it to my laptop just to check for updates as it had been a year and boy i wish i hadnt i had to do my drive with the tomtom not finding any gps why is my question is mine broken now how do i fix i cannot find any answers my old tomtom had a way to reset if it went wrong even reset to factory doesnt cure this,
at my wits end.
however luckily a lorry driver told me of a phone app which might have saved me some distress its called waze i dont know if this has helped anyone else.
i would like to get my tomtom working again any help iwould be greatful

You reset it by doing a drum reset on the unit by holding the power button about 20 seconds till you hear the drum sounds. Is the battery fully charged. When was the last time you connected to MyDriveConnect for a gpsfix file?

You reset it by doing a drum reset on the unit by holding the power button about 20 seconds till you hear the drum sounds. Is the battery fully charged. When was the last time you connected to MyDriveConnect for a gpsfix file?
I have tried this many times as I have this problem too. Have also reset to factory settings several times but still no gps signal.

Yes the battery is charged. Support no good as I have to work Monday - Friday 7.30 to 5.15
