TomTom Model(s)
Go Discover 7
Hi everyone,

I have a TomTom Go Discover 7 and use a lot of GPX files. Now I have two GPX files and I have uploaded them online on TomTom Mydrive. Both files are synced. One file appears on my GPS in My Routes but the other one don't sync. Is there a solution for this?

What 'flavor' of gpx do the two files contain? Or a mix of 'flavors'? Look for route, waypoint and track data.

Can I send the two gpx files to u, because I don't know how to do it...

I believe that if you store them as *.zip files, you can attach them to a message here. Let me know which one syncs and which one does not.
Like you, I do a LOT of work with gpx files.

Thank you Canderson for your help. In the ZIP you'll find two GPX files; one with sync and the other doesn't sync on my GPS

Very good. I need to head off to work now, but will attend to this this evening.

A quick look shows that there are a LOT of extra schemas in the preamble of the no-sync (GW 2023) file. I may edit those out and have you try using that file again.

I should ask --
The two gpx files you provided were generated by two totally different applications.
Can you confirm for me what application created each of these files?

The one that syncs appears to have been generated by "RVV Route Soft"
The one that does not sync appears to have been generated by some sort of Garmin desktop app - perhaps Mapshare or Basecamp?

Had a few moments at work.
See if this version of your GW 2023 file will sync. If it does, we can pare things out of the file more slowly to see what's breaking things.
In the meanwhile, I'd stick with the RVV Route Soft application for creating tracks.

Hi Canderson

I tried to upload this file but it doesn't work to upload it. I receive the message: An error occured. The file can not be uploaded.

I receive this files from someone of the organization. But I think they use Basecamp also

Give it another try. I am able to download this file here.

I can download the file but can't upload it. I tried in GPX studio and I received the message: There was an error loading your GPX file. Please check the file format

Ah, OK. I understand now. You can download the file, but the app doesn't want to load it.

My apologies. I got overly aggressive in my edit. Please try this one:

Hi canderson, it works. I can upload the GPX to mydrive. This evening I will chech if the GPX is synced on my GPS

For that, I have no explanation. The 'header' information is now the same between the two files (the one that would sync and the one that will not), so if that is what was causing the heartburn before, it should not be doing so now. The internal file format looks good.
