Hi can anyone help my 4d00 500 can't seem to pick up any gps signal anymore does this mean it's time to buy a new one because of age ?

@dhn
That's the OLD GO 500 (ca. 2005)! Serial number will no doubt start with "M3".

@David
You've got one of the oldest TomTom units in existence! It should still be picking up a satellite signal unless something is broken.
That said, it may be time to buy a new unit for other reasons, not least of which is storage space. That device can't handle any larger than a 2GB SD card, and the maps continue to grow. I suppose if you never left UK/ROI you would be able to continue on with it, but the maps for the continent (and UK/ROI, for that matter) keep adding more and more road information.

Tell us what features you use the most on your existing unit, and perhaps we can steer you toward something newer.
