Got A response from TomTom

Hello,
We bought a barely used like new tom-tom via 1535 tm. The first thing I did was do a complete wipe of the device then I created a tom-tom account and updated the maps & software ( successfully) and have been using it and For the first week with the latest 2022 maps & it worked great.
Then one day when I powered it on I got this message when I tried to use voice commands >> Your tom-tom voice command is unable to work in your country.
Today I got a email from TomTom ( alomst a week later ) <<<their suppoot is TERRIBLE... But they told me to try "this" I am good with computers & can do it but wonder if anyone has tried this? and had good results??

It's a video on how to recover the device when it's acting up and sometimes does indeed work. Remember, at the point in the video when you are requested to tap 3 times, the tapping must be done quickly, like 1/2 second between taps.

If the recovery works, the last previous good software version will be loaded onto the device.

thanks for the reply. So far a few days in since we did a reset not the recovery as I posted here.

The Tomtom seems to be working ok. BUT this is how this has been going. I powerdown the 1535 & hold the button & wait for the drum beat then restart and then it works 100% for a few days.

Since right now a few days since we did that it is working I dont want to do that software recovery unless it acts up again. Odd issue that few have this issue >> Your tom-tom voice command is unable to work in your country.

so far a few days since a reset & it is working. It acts up again & I will try doing the restore
