TomTom Model(s)
Go Superior
I have been using a Go Superior 6” since September, after being badgered by Tom Tom to buy a newer one. I wanted a larger screen and the ability to avoid ULEZ and I am pleased with the new model. I thought I would like the enhanced visual clues but turned them off after a few days. The idea is good but covering the whole screen with arrows for a while started to annoy me. I was just about to report a speed camera van one day when the arrows started and I lost the chance.

I have some questions and i don’t know if anyone can help.

I find that every couple of days or so I have to re-enter my password in settings on the device. Is this normal or is there a way to keep it logged in?

Since September I have had notifications for map updates, and software updates but I have not been notified of any speed camera updates. On my previous 5200 I would be notified of speed camera updates every few days. Am I not getting updates or are updates done behind the scenes? Speed camera warnings work normally when driving.

When I arrive at a destination a black box appears top right of the screen where you can search for parking etc nearby. I don’t find this particularly useful and it stays until I click to cancel it. Is there a way to make it disappear automatically after a minute or so?

I see people have asked this before, but I would like to have the current time shown at the bottom of the side bar which my old device used to do. Is there any way to show it.

Many thanks

Normally, devices are updated via Wi-Fi
To see if there are new updates to the Speed Camera service, open the main menu, select Settings, then Updates and new items.
Additionally, if your GPS is connected to your phone, you should receive live alerts.

I have EXACTLY the same issues as you with my Go Exclusive. Can anyone help??

If it's for speed cameras, have you connected your phone to your GO?
Settings menu. Select Sound, then Alerts and sounds, Speed cameras, then Always.

My question is that I don’t see any updates for speed cameras, I used to get them regularly on my previous model. Speed camera warnings work, and I get notified about map and software updates. Are speed camera updates done in the background somehow?

I have, indeed, connected my phone to my GO. The query is whether speed camera updates should appear in the `Updates & New Items' section of `Settings'. Nothing ever appears there, whereas speed camera and charging point updates have always appeared there on my previous TomToms.

You receive live radar updates via your connection with your phone.
You cannot update again if the radars on your GPS are already up to date.
The best thing is to have radar alerts in real time, so permanently connected to your phone.

Many thanks.
Perhaps it is because I have been used to a TomTom with a built-in sim card?

Hello guys,
also happens to me.
For whatever reason I need to login sometimes.
I use Wifi Mobile Hotspot.
Now I even make sure the hotspot is active before opening TT bcz I thought maybe had a time-out.
But even then it happens.
No clue why and while driving not noticed on any way.

Ah, and additional: I make sure my phone is on 4G bcz 2G/3G is out in some regions here in Belgium.
