Had this a couple of times now were driving along the road and it pops up a message saying that Your location has not changed for 30 minutes. Do I want to Sleep, Turn Off or Cancel. Plus the unit is still giving me verbal instructions about what turn I need to make in X amount of distance.
Think on both times I had driven about 15-20 miles and doing over 40mph at the time.

Yes, this feature shuts down the device to avoid running cellular service unnecessarily for cellular-connected devices. The countdown should start with 5 minutes. Of course, while driving, this should not happen!

Does the condition clear itself, or does it continue the countdown? In other words, are these screens transient, or do you need to 'Cancel' them manually when they occur, or do they disappear spontaneously after some period of time? If spontaneously, how long do they appear (what countdown time)?

Can you confirm what version of firmware is installed on your device at this time (current release is 22.100.0004), and confirm whether the first two characters of the serial number are "ZT" or some other pair?

On the two occasions this has happened I've been able to pull over to the side of the road to select cancel. The unit would have been on for about 30 minutes when the message occurs with the 5 minute count down as shown in your image above.
The audio alerts are still active but the message obscures the map view.
With the longest time being stationary is when starting the car and then selecting the destination before setting off. This is at the most a couple of minutes.

ZT are the first two characters of the serial number. Firmware 22.100.0004.411 (0) (23/11/2022)

Thanks. Since this is the first time we've ever heard of this happening, I'll try to pursue this through "other avenues".

At the weekend used the unit on four journeys were was driving for over 30 minutes.
On the third journey it came up with the message again. As I was close to my destination I let the 5 min countdown proceed to the end to see what it would do and it put the unit to sleep. On the return journey operated fine.
Will try a reset to see if that makes a difference.

When unit is in the car it is plugged into the charger in the cigarette lighter socket.

Mine does this too!
If your GPS does the same thing, it means that your GPS is no longer powered by a power supply.

It may be the mini USB plug on the GPS side that is disconnecting.

Try moving the plug to see if there is any play.

I have had this too on my brand new tomtom go 6200 which is very strange. It happens randomly.
So contacted tomtom and look at their response below:

Thank you for contacting TomTom Customer Support. This is Kiran and I'm happy to assist you.

The reference number for your query is 0000000.

Thank you for your patience and I'm sorry for the delay in response.

I have checked more details about this and team informed me that this message appear when the device is connected without any routes planned to save the battery. If you see the same message even though the route is planned then I suggest you to perform a factory reset and a soft reset then test the device.

Factory Reset : > Go to main menu > Click on settings > Click on System > Click on Reset.

Soft Reset: Please press the power button on the TomTom device and keep holding the button till you get the drum sound ( it may take 30-40 seconds ) and once you get the drum roll sound please release the button immediately.

I hope this addresses your query, If you have any more queries or would like to update me, please don’t hesitate to reply to this email and I’ll be more than happy to help.

I wish you a nice day!

With Kind Regards,
Kiran G
