Go Navigation app automatically lowing screen brightness on a new Tab Active5

Hi SMEs

I just bought an Active5 tablet. I turned off active brightness and raised the brightness to max. When I change to the Go Navigation app the screen brightness reduces by about 200 NITS (tab rated at 600 NITS). Even when I lower the screen brightness to 1/2, and switch to app it still lowers the brightness.

I have checked the tab's settings and turned off any battery optimization for this app. Tab's battery is at 100% and still plugged in.

Any ideas??

This turned out to be a possible issue with the Active5. The Tab would lower screen brightness with every app I tried using GPS (TomTom, Google Maps, Waze).
