GO 910
I've had this unit for many years and it has been totally reliable. I've just downloaded the latest update. When I unplugged from the computer, I was asked for my passcode. For some reason I put in the wrong one. Now, when I switch the unit on, the driving advice comes on. When that disappears and the screen pops up for me to enter my code. Before I can do this, the machine shuts down. I've tried this several times. I do rely on this unit, so any advice would be very gratefully received. Thanks.

Try a drum reset on the unit by holding the power button about 20 seconds till you hear the drum sounds unless your model has a dedicated reset hole. Also, what update did you install?

Try doing the process with the device connected to the computer.

Thanks for this. I seem to be in a worse state now because when I switch on whilst connected to the computer, the computer image comes up with its red cross and then the unit switches off within 5 seconds. I tried the reset hole - no joy. By the way, the unit is a GO 910, not 950. In its present state, if I buy a new unit from a retailer, will they be able to transfer the stuff I have on it? Thanks again.

No, not the map you have.

If you connect to Home, does it offer an application for your device?
