GO 730 garbled speech, Roll Back Application?

I've noticed that ever since I upgraded to Application 8.300, my GO's text-to-speech is garbled. It will get out the first part of an instruction, but if the instruction is long, the rest of it will be garbled. This is really annoying, and destroys a major part of the unit's functionality.

I also note that with the new application, the unit will no longer send instructions over the FM transmitter. This is a huge disadvantage for me as it's often too loud in my car to hear the unit.

And no, I'm not in the UK.

I think I want to roll back the application to the earlier version. How do I do that? Is there a repository of earlier versions? I can't find this information easily in the manual.
