Got my Go 720 a few monhts back and couldnt take the fact that the battery would only last about 15-20 minutes tops on a full charge. I didn't want to crack it open because:
1. this unit is under warranty
2. the battery kit will cost money i don't feel I should need to shell out.
So i send back my unit and they send me a unit which is WORSE. I charged it for 3 hours on the cradle with the unit off, green charge light on. I turn it on and the unit shuts off after 10 seconds. Nice. This time Tom Tom paid for the return shipping which was nice.
The tech said this is the first time he has heard of a defective unit being returned to the customer. I asked if they were tested and he told me extensively. Has anyone has a similar issue to this? Just curious. I hope the next refurb they send works!
