Go 630 no longer made

I was told the GO 630 was no longer made. That seems to be right because I was in a Wallmart in Canada the other day and they had a ton of them on sale for $98.00 CDN.
I was told the GO 730 downloads were acceptale for the GO 630. I have everything I need in the GO 630 and I hope updates will continue to be available.

Are you saying the Go 630 I bought about 15 months ago I have the V8.351 V855.2884 cannot be updated now and in the future?

I'm saying the application more than likely won't be updated. The maps can be. In fact 860 is the latest map and 865 is due within 3 or 4 weeks. You also can still get mapshares updates, gpsquickfix files.

It's sad. The 630 has a great feature set at a great price. I'm let down by how quickly Tomtom cut it off from app updates.

It's one thing to nudge your customers into buying newer models every so often, but Tomtom makes the nudge feel like a rude kick in the pants.

A Go630 with Latest Map Guarentee for $98? I'm almost tempted to buy a spare.....
