GO 6200 restarting continuously after latest software updates

As the title says.
I have tried the reset by holding the power key until from sound.
I have also tried the holding power until a multiple line screen appears then pressing the power button 3 times. All I get is a graphic with the Tom Tom unit and a disconnect from the computer cable graphic.
When I plug in the PC with my drive live and logged in nothing happens.
 
Disable Mydrive sync on the device.

Your battery may be discharged or dead, or your cable may be defective.
Recharge your battery on a smartphone mains charger.
 
Hi Willy, by the time you replied I had done a system reset by going into the Sustem menu and pressing reset.
Apart from having to re-enter info and connect to My Drive, this cured the problem. If it comes back I’ll try your solutions.
