Hello,I’m experiencing a critical bug with my TomTom GO 6200. As soon as I connect the device to my TomTom account (via Wi-Fi or MyDrive Connect), MyDrive synchronization starts automatically.

Problem:

  • All my favorites disappear from the interface during sync.
  • The sync never completes (infinite loop).
  • As soon as I disable sync or disconnect the account, all favorites reappear instantly.
I now manage my favorites manually via GPX, which works perfectly.

This behavior is reproducible and seems linked to a conflict between local and cloud data.

Can you confirm if this bug is known? Is a fix planned?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi
I don't have this bug; you're the first to report it.

The solution is to disable GPS synchronization.

Hey, Thanks again for the tip — really appreciate you taking the time to help! I gave it a try, and you're absolutely right: disabling MyDrive synchronization on the GO 6200 does help avoid the bug. Just to share back: even with sync turned off, live traffic still works perfectly as long as the service is active (which I double-checked in MyDrive) and the device has internet access via Wi-Fi or its built-in SIM. So yes, it's a safe workaround — no loss of traffic updates or map/software updates. I’ve tested this setup and it keeps the GPS stable while preserving all the essentials. Thanks again for the great suggestion — really helpful!

Hey everyone, Just wanted to share a quick update after testing again on my GO 6200. I re-enabled synchronization and… yep, same bug: all my favorites vanished while sync was active. But as soon as I turned sync off and restarted the device, everything came back like nothing happened.

It really feels like the sync is clashing with the local data — maybe trying to overwrite it with a blank cloud profile or something.

I’ve seen other users mention similar behavior, so it seems like a consistent issue tied to MyDrive sync, not hardware or software updates.
