I've had this from new and I know this has a 4GB internal memory and I understand the USA map is around 4GB. There is 620 MB of internal memory space free.

I'm in the UK.

I purchased the USA map in 2022 and its on the internal memory. I've just discovered the UK map is on an SD card - I don't recall doing that, but I must have had to do it when down loading the USA map.

Is it possible to put the USA map on an SD card and reinstall the UK map on the internal drive?

This isn't a good idea.

The best thing to do is leave the UK map on the SD card and also download the US map to the SD card.

How many MB is your SD card?

Thanks for this.
The card is 8GB.
How do I download the US map to the card?

Okay, how do I get both maps onto another card? The 8GB shows as empty on my PC.

The 8GB shows as empty on my PC.
What do you mean? The 8 GB are empty on the computer.

You insert the new SD card into the GPS so it formats it, then installs a new map on the SD card.

Note: you must always have at least one map installed on your device.

Yes, the SD card shows nothing on the PC - I get a message saying there is a problem (with the drive) when I insert it. I had another card with routes in the USA for the TT which the PC could see.

On the TT the only selectable map is USA, and there is no detail on the navigation screen where I am - zoom out and places in the USA show.

When the card goes into the TT Western Europe is there to select and the navigation detail returns.

Let's start from the beginning.

1. If you remove the SD card from the GPS, what happens?

2. If you reinsert the SD card and connect your GPS to your MyDrive Connect account, you should see which map is activated on your GPS and be able to check the memory still available on the SD card.

1 - the only selectable map is USA. As far as the UK is concerned it is blank, as is the rest of Europe - there is no detail on the navigation screen where I am, just the outline of the land and the sea - I live on the coast. Zoom out and place names in the USA show. MyConnect shows I have USA (Single map download) maps. The TT has 592MB free.

2 - MyConnect shows I have Western Europe and USA maps. The TT has 592MB free and the memory card 582MB free.

It makes sense that if you select the United States map, your current location is in the United Kingdom; the GPS won't find it.

Have you tried clearing the MyDrive Connect cache and then reinstalling the United Kingdom map?

Not tried clearing the cache. Do you mean the cache of the PC?

The only option I saw was to remove the map (on the TT or on the SD card).

If the SD card is 8GB and only has 582MB free, and the TT only 592MB free, it seems logical that only one of these maps will fit on the TT. If I deleted the USA map to reinstall the Western Europe one, would I get the option to download the USA one again?

When you download, the TT has to be connected. Maybe a paid for map can only go on the device and not a card?

How do I clear the MyDrive Connect cache?

Click the TomTom icon in the bottom right corner of your computer, then click Download, and then click Clear Cache.

Normally, the GO 60 comes with a European map; the map is free.
However, you must have purchased the United States map.

You can delete a map and reinstall it, provided that another map is still installed. Without a map, you will no longer be able to start your GPS.

In Settings it has a Downloads folder. I can empty that. There isn't a Clear Cache option.

I ended up having to uninstall MyConnect and reinstall it as the PC wasn't connecting with the TT. Doing that cleared the cache, but its not changed anything.

Currently, the US map is active on the GPS.

Question: Have you considered changing the map?

Settings, then Map.
Select Change Map.

The problem you're also having is that the memory is full, either internally or on the SD card.

If you remove the SD card and then add a new, blank SD card, you should be able to install the Europe map.

There isn't a Map tab (although I've now found the Clear Cache button :))

I think this came with Western Europe, and everything else had to be purchased.

Would Change Map enable USA to move to the new SD card so I can install Western Europe on the TT?

Okay.
I've put a new card in and formatted it for Maps. Going into Settings → Maps all I have is USA on a screen headed Choose Another Map.

Where do I look for the option to install another map. I can't delete the USA one.
