Future of Go 630

I have a Go 630 that has all that I need for my lifestyle. Since the Go 630 is no longer produced, what will owners of the Go 630 have to deal with since it is no longer made?
With all the new models comming out, if I decide to keep useing the Go 630 will updates, maps, etc. cease to be available?
What is the worst case long term future of the Go 630? Thanks for any answer.

There is no reason that you won't be able to update maps for the forseeable future. Your application (8.351) hasn't been updated in almost 2 years and won't be. It has issues but if you don't use Bluetooth, shouldn't matter.

Newer models just strip functionality that older models had: external sd slot, mp3 player, ability to access the file system and make Explorer (or finder) backups, etc.

I wouldn't dump it if it's doing the job for you just to get the 'latest and greatest' .... because, in some respects, the new models ain't so great as yet.
