Ive just tried to update my Tom Tom above Via MyDrive on my Mac. It seemed to work ok until I was prompted to remove my cable to my PC and reconnect telling me this would restart my device. Unfortunately all I seem to get now is the Tom Tom start up screen and no matter what I try it won't start up. MyDrive says its up to date. Has anyone any ideas how I can reboot this? Im not very technical so if anyone has an 'idiots guide' of how to perform this I would be eternally grateful
 
The XL model isn't updated using MyDrive, it uses TomTom Home. "4ET03" isn't a model number. Can you please identify your unit by providing us with the first two characters of its serial number?
 
GJ = GJ">XL IQ Routes ² / XL Classic, 2GB, HOME NAV2 EoL. Device uses Home, not MyDriveConnect BUT the model is considered End of Life by Tomtom, meaning no further map updates.
 
Try a drum reset on the unit by holding the power button about 20 seconds till you hear the drum sounds. Unless that model has a dedicated reset hole on the bottom of the device.

Also, shot in the dark. Get Home from Tomtom.com/getstarted (make sure you click the proper link for Home) and install. Connect the device to the computer with Home running and see if it is recognized. If so, see what is offered under updates.
