Frozen GO910

Hi,
After an update my GO910 has frozen or stops after splash screen.
I have contacted TomTom but no response yet (5 days). I have now tried all the tips that I could find ie:- clear flash, format then manually copy files, format and get TThome to update didn't work as the unit is recognised but it says that there is nothing to update even though the disk is empty!!
Now the unit is recognised by the PC but I can't do anything!
If I disconnect it I now have the red circle with a white cross flashing.
Any other ideas?
Why are there so many people with the same fault?
What is TomTom doing about it?

Setup

You have to use clear flash and then format dirve and then apply install the app and then use home software and it will up date app and download your maps.
