I'm playing with my XL335SE that I received for Christmas, making sure I have the POIs loaded that I might want to access when I am traveling.

I have 4 stores (United States) that I would like to have included --
JoAnn Fabrics (Home : Shop | Joann.com)
Hancock Fabrics (Hancock Fabrics: Discover the Designer in You)
Hobby Lobby (Hobby Lobby - Hobby Lobby)
Michaels (Michaels Stores)

What I don't understand is that when I search on Michaels or JoAnn (by keying in) it finds other private businesses (esp Michael -- dentists, attorneys) but not the chains. Am I missing a step?

Were these custom ov2 files you downloaded? If so, did you put them in the USA map folder?

No, I was just using the preloaded POIs -- just surprised me that it was able to find sole proprietorships and none of the four chains that I would want to find.

And I've not found any custom POI files for any of the four I mentioned.

App 9.x on the Tomtom 335 is insanely picky about punctuation. Try Michael's (or just Michael), and Jo-Ann (or just Ann).

This is fixed on the newest models with app 10.x, but I doubt this fix will ever make it to your model.
