Hello everyone!

I bought my device about half year ago, using it in 'truck' mode, and I have a little problem...as I mentioned on the title, the device doesn't shows all the rest stops on the sidebar, only some truck praking and truck petrol stations and I cannot find any way to turn on the other ones. The problem is, that this way I barely see about the 10% of the actual rest stops on my route, and always have to pan the map forward to check if there is anything ahead - while I drive (I was able to turn on the rest stops on the map itself, but not on the sidebar)

My question is, did I miss some setting, or it's just like this?
Thanks for the answers.

So the stops show on the map, but not the side bar? What kind of diversion off the main road do you need to take to get to the ones that do not appear in the side bar? Could you provide us with coordinates of an example of one that you think should appear on the side bar, but does not? The algorithm is a little fussy about what you have to do to reach a rest stop before it will appear on the bar as 'on route'.

Suddenly made a random route, but already found at least one on it... 47.420488, 18.922304

The main problem is tho, that I even cannot turn on the rest stops in the sidebar settings, because there isn't such option, only 'truck parking', 'Truck fuel station' and such....there is no simply 'rest stop' at all. But if I switch the vehicle to 'Car', then it shows the option

Not all 'rest stops' have special truck parking areas, and on the truck model, the "Truck Parking" is supposed to deal with that for you.
I wonder if perhaps the truck map details for your area aren't up to date. That area for which you showed coordinates is definitely set up for trucks, and I would expect it to show up in the side bar for both "Truck Parking" and car "Rest Stop" since it's easily 'on route'.

Yeah. The problem is, that it's not an individual case....as I wrote before, if I set up a route (no mater where) in Europe, the device only shows about the 10% of the rest stops along the way, so this is not some minor problem and probably would need a complete overhaul. If I'm correct, TT is originally an american company, so I suppose the algorithm what they use for determine rest stops works in a way, what is not correct in the case of the european rest stops. And don't know, how the rest stops work there, but in Europe almost all rest stops available to hold trucks too. I trucking since 7 years in the whole EU, and saw maybe....2-3 'cars only' rest stop along the routes.

No, TT is and always has been based in Europe, including their mapping group.

I've got one of the 8275 truck versions, so our POI systems are very different, so I don't see the same things you see. Hope another Expert owner chimes in.

I read before that another owner was having the same problem....but I think that was on the official forum, before it was closed.
The funny thing is, that I have a 6000 Truck, and that's showing these rest stops fine, but in that they weren't categorized in 'normal' rest stops and 'truck' rest stops.
If I could turn on to show the normal rest stops too (like in car mode), that would be enough, I guess

I think this user have the same problem tho....

@Gabesz92, when posting in a non English language please add the English version of that post. Thank you.

In the profile for trucks, it does not show parking lots in the side panels, everything is in the settings, in the profile for a passenger car, it shows parking lots, but for trucks, it does not show the amount of volume for me, the expert had a mobile version before this, the problem is the same

i made a little calculation today....I was driving trough Austria from Suben to Nickelsdorf (D-A border to A-H border), and counted the rest stops I passed....I counted 26 rest stop (+/- 1-2, all suitable for trucks), but only 8 was shown on the sidebar as a truck rest stop. I guess we can agree that it's not an....ideal ratio. And I suppose the ratio is about the same in other countries/roads.

Jó a beállításom. For 1.5 weeks it doesn't indicate the cameras only in Germany. does working in another country. why can't the address search be step by step? unfortunately, a junk program is running on it. it shows rest areas and parking lots on the map, but not in the sidebar. there are also gas stations that require you to turn off the highway. why can rest areas only be designated in passenger car mode, when 99% of the time you can stop with a truck??? We, who bought Tomtom 6250 hoping for better, were very deceived! useless annoyance. many forums deal with this.

Yes, it can work, speed cameras are not legal in Germany, which is why Tomtom asks you to deactivate speed camera alerts before arriving in Germany and when driving in the country.

Normally if you have a valid subscription the speed cameras should work in other countries
