Hi - are there any news if Tom Tom will expand coverage in Egypt? I have searched everywhere , I did not find any news about a map to be released for Egypt for car navigation.

Teleatlas covers Egypt with its maps.

However the GPS receivers are strictly regulated. They were banned altogether prior to April 2009. Since then, they have to be individually approved by the Egyptian government (see here).

So far, no news from Tomtom on launching Egyptian PNDs.
