Editing Thread Titles

I was just wondering if there is a way of editing the thread title? If there is I can't find it or just doesn't work for me.

I was just trying to edit one of my threads (one of my POIs) and the edited version would show up in the post but when you look at the forum index its the same as the original.

I think it would be useful so you can correct spelling mistakes or just want to change the title. I think it would also help help the mods to delete posts becasue they can be identified as 'PLEASE DELETE' or something like that for cleaning up the clutter. In the BST forum, same idea, you can edit the title as 'SOLD' so then they can be moved to the appropiate place.

Thoughts?
