Editing After Market/Custom/Homemade POI's

Good Afternoon,

I LOVE this site and am currently trying to create a POI to upload. My question is, how do I delete some of the POI from the ones downloaded from here. For example, If I down load the Walmart file, I will not need any POIs west of the Mississippi. In an effort to save space how would I get rid of these?
