Edit/create routes on PC with NAV6?????

Sorry if it's been covered here, but I couldn't find it in a search. I am brand-new to Nav 6 & I am running it on an HP IPaq 5915. Everything I am seeing is that I cannot create/edit routes on my laptop with the PDA attached via Nav 6 using Tom Tom Home. Is this correct?? I have to do everything from the PDA??? What are the specific limitations of Nav 6 vs. a dedicated TomTom unit?

I dont have Nav 5 or 6 so Im not sure if virtual tomtom is available for handheld users. Normally, one would create waypoints using their virtual tomtom via TT HOME.
