Drive cable tmc

I have a cable with TMC on the power plug end, it is supposed to give traffic alerts. How does it work. I have a XXL

Is it the cable with a plastic 'egg' on the cord? If so, when plugged into the car charger (and the other end connected to the device), you should see FM traffic on the device. When you plug it into the device while connected to the cig lighter outlet, you should also see a message on the screen 'rds antenna connected' (or similar).
