When you update a new application or the new "Susan" voice using TT Home do you have to first delete the old version or does the update take care of removing the old versions

Current: Appl 7.220

Would like to update to Appl 7.481

Downloading 7.481 causes Home to shut down and 4.81 to get installed. You don't have to do anything other than allow for the download.

BUT........

Make a complete backup of your unit using Explorer, not Home, prior to doing the download. Then, if for some reason. you want to revert to 7.221, you simply copy it back from your backup.

I had manually loaded Kate (UK - Susan can't handle Spanish name in the US language very well) from old 910 file. The next thing TomTom Updates did was to replace it with a newer one (about 30% of the size).

So I think the answer is yes - it will update itself.
