Distance question - 540XXL

Hi,

I have a 540 XXL and would like to know how can I simple turn on my GPS and have it keep track of the distance I have driven without setting a specific destination? I have read the instruction manual, but I have not found this option. I tried just turning on the unit and go for a ride, but it doesn't display the distance that I have driven.

The only work around suggestion I can think of at this moment is to make the start point a Favorite, Then make the end point a Favorite too,
Plan a Route A...B between the two points and look at the distance.

There is not a trip logging function on any tomtom model

I couldn't find anything in the manual, so I thought I ask here.... Thanks for your replies.

You can add 3rd party aqpplications to that model that will show logging and other stuff........
