Disapearing POIs?

I have just been looking for the POIs on my GO720 and I can't find the POIs that I had loaded for the Cathar Castles down here in France. Not only that, I can't find them anywhere on the web?

Any ideas? I am going to need them to make life easier when we have a friend staying for a few daze later this week?

They should have been placed in the specific map folder on your unit (Western_Europe, maybe?).

Where you originally got them, who knows?

Here's hoping you have a PC and cable handy to make this possible. You need to look into your western Europe map folder and find *.ov2 files there. Those will be any custom POI files that aren't part of the normal ones that come with a TT map. Hope you find a file there with a familiar name.

If you don't spot the file in the map folder where it belongs, look elsewhere on your unit. These *.ov2 files will ONLY work if they are placed into the map folder for the active map on your unit.

Sorry guys, I nearly forgot to let you know that I found and loaded the POIs I wanted.

TomTom Home -- Add Traffic, Voices, Safety Cameras, Etc. and they are in Points of Interest and France.
