I cannot get Home (Latest version) to reconize my TTGO 910. The Device on the Home Menu is grayed out.
I have tried all of the suggestions from the help area and nothing works.
There can be three situations in which your TomTom device is not connecting. Click one for a solution:

Device not responding
You connect your device to your computer but the device does not ask if you want to connect.
Try the following:
Make sure your device is fully charged before connecting it to the computer.
Reset your device.
Click here to learn how to reset your device.
First connect your device to the computer and then turn on the device using the On/Off button.
Try using a different USB port.
Connection to your computer may not be successful if you use a USB hub or a USB port that is on the keyboard, on the front of a desktop computer or a USB port that is not supported by your computer vendor.

Device not recognized by HOME
TomTom HOME does not start or does not recognize your device.

How does HOME respond once you tap YES on your device to connect?

HOME does not open.

If HOME does not open, it is probably not set to start when your computer starts up.
To set TomTom HOME to automatically start up, do the following:

Start HOME manually: *
Windows: Click Start > All Programs > TomTom > TomTom HOME 2.

Macintosh: Double-click TomTom HOME.app in the Applications folder.

In the HOME menu, click Tools > TomTom HOME Preferences (TomTom HOME > Preferences for Macintosh).

Select the General tab.

Check the box for Start TomTom HOME automatically when my computer starts.

* If HOME is not installed on your computer, you can download the latest version from www.tomtom.com/home.

HOME starts but does not recognize the device.

Try the following:

Make sure you are using the latest version of TomTom HOME.
In TomTom HOME, click the Help drop-down menu and then click Check for TomTom HOME update.

Download and install the file below.

Close TomTom HOME.

Download the following file to your computer.

Once downloaded, do one of the following to unzip the downloaded folder:

Windows: Right-click the file home images.zip and then select Extract all...
Macintosh: Double-click the file home images.zip.

Copy the unzipped folder home_images to the root directory of your TomTom device.

Open TomTom HOME again. HOME should now recognize your device.

Device not recognized by computer
Your device does not appear in My Computer (Windows) or on the desktop (Macintosh).
Is there problems on the site?

After a lot of sweat I found out how to get my TomTom Go 910 to be recognized.
It seems I have used up all but (3) of my drive letters, those being A, B, and Q. Tom Tom would not pick up none of these (3) drive letters for some reason so my machine was not recognized and the Device on the Menu remained grayed out.
I went to Computer, selected Manage and TomTom was listed with all my other drives, I assigned it the drive letter (Q) and Bingo! it was recognized.
