Data Connection GO 930 Blackberry 8310(ATT)

Can someone please help me, i am new to tomtom world and fairly new to blackberry world. With that being said, i just purchased the tomtom go 930, and i have a blackberry 8310, i was able to sync up the phone with no problem, but as far as using the tomtom plus services i have had no luck. I have read a bunch of posts on here and other forums, but they all say i need to downgrade OS on my phone, and sign up for BES?
I have no idea what that is, can someone please let me know if there is a way i can get my tomtom to use my phone for data services.
Like everyone else on here, it goes to 65% then fails
