connecting to ios

i have a rider pro, and when i plug it into my laptop there is no response. i use a mac book pro, but i have also tried it on a windows 10 machine with the same result. i have kept the start button pressed in order to reset the tom tom, the first time i did this it worked, when i later came to reconnect i got no response., i have even tried changing the usb leads in case they were damaged but it had no effect.Any suggestions

I presume you downloaded ind installed the proper HOME version for either Mac or Windows.

done all that, and uninstalled it then re installed it again just to make sure. i have always had problems with it not running well on mac, but never had any problems with windows based machines, now it won't work on either
