computer does not recognize

I hope that this issue has not been address already but I had to exchange my tomtom for a new one because it suddenly did not find any satellites. Now the new one will not connect to the computer. UPDATE This was addressed by a fresh reinstall of tomtom home.

The computer won't recognize it? Or does the unit not say "Connect to the computer?"
