Changing email registration on device

Can anyone help with how to change the email registration on the device. I recently had to change both my laptop and my email address. I have managed to log into MyDrive although only my creating a new account I think but the device won’t update fully due to a mismatch with the emails in the registration/log in in my connect and the email on the device
 
We have found that direct contact with TomTom is the way to make this happen. It's also necessary when taking over a device owned by someone else.
At the moment, 'chat' seems to be the only method of contact that gets results.

 
When you say direct contact do you mean ringing then and talking to them ?
 
No. "Chat" (digital, online). That link I provided above should take you to the TT page for support, and show how to get linked up with their online chat service. Ever since COVID, no live bodies answering phones as far as we know.
