Change the voices name

Hi!

Anyone know how to change the name and description of the voices?

In this example:

I want to change "Special 6" to "Stanley", and "English" changed in "Nederlands" (It's a Dutch voice)

"Special 6" is the name TT automatically gives the voice with the filename "data66", could this be done through the .chk file?

And if so, how do I modifie the checkfile?

It is all in the .vif!

You need to edit the associated .vif file. The language and name should be specified there.

If I recollect correctly, when there is no name specified in the .vif, the unit defaults to the 'special' names.

You can edit the .vif with notepad. I would advise that you open another .vif (that displays correctly) and check the syntax and format. I think it just needs to specify the name, language, filename of the associated .chk and .bmp files.

You cannot modify the .chk file.

BACKUP all the 'data66' files before you start messing with them. Obviously!!
